Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your data. Last updated: 16 May 2026.

This page explains what data we collect when you visit our website or use our vehicle tracking service, why we collect it, and how we keep it secure. We've written it in plain language — no legalese, no buried clauses. If anything is unclear, email info@bestcartracker.com.pk and we'll explain.

Who we are and how to reach us

Best Car Tracker is operated from Islamabad, Pakistan, and has provided vehicle tracking services to customers across the country since 2010. When we say "we" or "us" in this policy, that's who we mean.

Our head office is at Service Road East I-10, I-10/3, Islamabad 44000. For privacy questions, the fastest path is to email info@bestcartracker.com.pk or call +92 333 6459095. A human will reply.

What information we collect

We collect different information depending on how you're interacting with us:

  • From website visitors — standard analytics like browser type, approximate location (city level), pages-visited, and time-on-page. This is collected via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, both industry-standard tools.
  • From form submissions— only what you give us: name, phone number, email address (if you provide one), and your message. We don't use third-party form-fingerprinting services.
  • From customers using our service — vehicle data tied to your account (make, model, year, registration), installation address, billing details, and your alert history.
  • From the tracking device itself— GPS coordinates, speed, ignition status, and sensor data from your vehicle. The service literally cannot work without this; it's what makes location, geo-fence, and recovery features possible.

We do not collect biometric data. We do not collect contacts from your phone. We do not buy personal data from third parties.

How we use your information

We use the data we collect for these purposes — nothing else:

  • To provide the vehicle tracking service you signed up for — showing you live location, sending alerts, supporting recovery operations.
  • To respond to your inquiries when you contact us through a form, phone, or WhatsApp.
  • To understand how visitors use our website so we can fix what doesn't work and improve what does.
  • For required record-keeping under Pakistani law (financial records, anti-money-laundering checks where applicable).

Not for advertising. We don't build advertising profiles. We don't share your data with ad networks. We don't resell your data to third parties. Period.

How we protect your data

We treat customer data the way we'd want ours treated:

  • All website traffic is encrypted via HTTPS — including the forms you submit.
  • Database storage is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to operators and managers who need it to do their job.
  • Our own systems are monitored 24/7 — the same control room watching your vehicle also watches our infrastructure.
  • We use Supabase for database hosting and Resend for transactional email — both reputable providers with strong security practices.

Honest acknowledgement: no internet-connected system is 100% secure. We work hard to keep yours safe, and if a security incident ever affects you, we'll tell you directly — we won't hide it.

Who we share it with

The short answer: very few people, and only when necessary.

  • Law enforcement— when legally required, such as during vehicle recovery operations or in response to a court order. We require a valid legal basis; we don't hand over data on request.
  • Service providers we use — Google Analytics 4 for traffic analytics, Microsoft Clarity for session recordings, Supabase for our database, Resend for outbound email, and Cloudflare for spam protection. Each is bound by its own privacy terms and processes data on our behalf.
  • Nobody else. Not advertisers, not data brokers, not lead-gen marketplaces. If we ever needed to add a category — for example a new payment processor — we'd update this page first.

Your choices

You have control over the data we hold:

  • See what we have.Email us and we'll share what's on file for you. Allow a few business days for us to pull it together.
  • Correct what's wrong. If something is inaccurate, tell us and we'll fix it.
  • Request deletion. You can ask us to delete marketing-related data tied to your account.

One honest caveat: vehicle tracking customer data may have legal retention requirements (financial records, alert logs that may be needed for a recovery case). We'll keep those for the period required by law and delete what we're allowed to delete.

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses two categories of cookies. Both serve our own operations — neither is for ad targeting.

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (anonymised IP, no demographic targeting) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session recordings, with PII redaction).
  • Functional cookies— small preferences like your light/dark theme choice and remembering you've dismissed a banner. Local to your browser.

You can disable cookies entirely in your browser settings; the site will still work, you just won't see your theme preference persisted across visits.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or Facebook Pixel.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when something material changes — new services, new providers, new legal requirements. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent substantive edit.

For changes that meaningfully affect existing customers, we'll also post a notice on our homepage for at least 30 days, and email customers directly where appropriate.
